I have just ordered the Superlux mic from ebay. Did some reading up, and all seems good, so I'm hoping to not be disappointed when it finally arrives. Used a Shure green bullet for a lot of years and stopped playing for a while so I sold it. Lately I've been using my vocal mic ( Sennheiser e845 ) and I've been very happy with the resultant sound. Does get a little slippery after a while though. Any stories about my purchase?
I had a Superlux D112 for a long time before i bought my first vintage bullet. It did the job pretty well. If you have decent tone you'll probably be able to make it sound pretty good.
Its not really a patch on the mic's i have now but it still did a decent job:o)

Ditto. I used one of these before I got a custom mic - still got it. Sounded pretty good to me - seemed to let the natural sound of the harp come through pretty well. Like Ant says, it mostly depends on the tone that goes in in the first place.
