This was written with Winslow Yerxa's Fletch diatonic tab. The numbers 1 thru 10 are blow, and draw notes are below those--q is draw 1, etc. Draw bends are below those--r is draw 4, etc. F is double bend on draw 4, and etc. Hope this helps!
Love this song i play it on a dobro with slide in open E or G i dont understand this tab can someone please explain or convert to current tab methods thanks
Does anyone have the Buddy Guy and Junior Wells version tabbed from Alone & Acoustic? It's similar to this tab but a little different. Song is in E with an A harp. I can play along with it some but I'm still missing notes/phrasing/etc.
It's not Gary's fault. The tab is written with a special font that actually shows arrows and numbers not the jumble of letters that you see in the post above. But the font doesn't show up on the internet.
Hole numbers appear below arrows facing up for blow and down for draw.
Bends are indicated by diagonal slashes, with one slash per semitone.
Below is a link to what the tab actually looks like:
@wowuzowy: Gary did the transcription, so he can tell you what version he transcribed. I just designed the font that he used.
@ Gary - I cheated. I pasted your text into a text editor, changed the font to Fletch, then did a screenshot, put it in the public folder of my Dropbox, and then made a link to it in my post.

@ Winslow -- That works! And the version I transcribed was by ear, based on the Cream version. I have a version of Minglewood Blues featuring Geoff Muldaur with the Kweskin Jug band that is very similar to this tune . . . http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rollin'_and_Tumblin'
@ wowyzowy12 You are welcome--I just happened to have charted it for a student, and had it handy. Sorry it was garbled, but IMHO, that added to the zany charm of the thread.
