Had a go at covering 'Big Leg Mama'. Afraid my guitar playing is a little arythmic and I really didn't know what to play over the bridge part - maybe someone could help out with that. I hadn't realised until I started trying this tune how much he milks the 4 draw - there are practically three choruses in a row where the main note, more or less, is the 4 draw. It's all in the feeling, I guess.
I love that song it has just the right ingredients to make it very satisfying to listen to. And I appreciate your light touch on your playing, that helped me hear a few things that I need to practice on.
An old blues radio show I used to listen to as a teen use the opening riffs as their theme music. Feeling very nostalgic now. Another thing added to my to-do list (to learn). Thanks for posting.
Great feel and authentic sound on this. As good as I've heard for a LW cover.
One thing I'd work on is the way LW builds the tension in the solo even when just hanging on the draw 4. The drums on the original help, but you can do it too by swelling the volume of the harp as you play. ---------- The Pentatonics Reverbnation Youtube
