For some reason the timbre and riffs just seem not to fit the tune. Most like a transplanted blues solo.
I like this version better for the harmonica interpretation.

You know, I wasn't going to say so in a post myself, but since Diggs already has, I'll chime in. This was also my impression when I listened. But i like the material.

Holy cow Diggs, Rons tone was superb, I really liked it. Big fat sound, really brought that tune to life. Reminds me a bit of PT. The other rendition was too close to elevator music to me. Yep, not real big on slow moving jazz.

I very much enjoyed Ron's version-but I was a bit disappointed not to see any of his microphone finery in that video...
