Sorry i know that this sorta thing probably is getting a little old for some of you guys. But i have tried reading the Forum search engine first. Friend of a friend has a Fender super twin reissue for sale at (forNZ) a very good price. Reading through the Forum I get some good vibes about this amp but then i realise that they have been talking about 4 speakers? or ten inch ones? The amp i'm interested in has 2 12" Jensen speakers..6 preamp valves and 4 power tubes.Apparently the preamps are a mixture of AT7s and AX 12s The control panel has a normal channel (with two imputs) and a Vibrato one (with two imputs) Also comes with a foot pedal for Vibrato and reverb. Was purchased new around 1994 and is apparently in immaculate condition.(Verified by my friend,a guitar player)Also absolutely stock. FWIW i play through an Astatic Biscuit C/M and own a Lonewolf harp break pedal. Phew..Ok any thoughts on whether this a good harp amp for blues? Cheers It is a 60 mile drive to just try it out hence the above

The Fender Super Twin is an incredibly heavy amp to carry around. It's 85 watts of super high gain power. Really it's not a great amp for harp, although a few players have used them successfully. You'd be better off in my opinion with a Blackface Super Reverb Reissue, Bassman LTD or a Blackface Princeton Reverb Reissue. I'd put some feelers out on the local forums and music shops, music pubs, etc. Something more suitable will come up sooner or later.
