Matthew Smart, a former member of this forum (Hetrick was his monicker, or one of several monickers), has, at my invitation, written an open letter to this forum. I told him that I would make it a one-post thread so as to avoid the negative comments that sometimes accrue in such situations. I'll assume that you all wish him well, as I genuinely do.
Here, in any case, is the full text of his letter:

Dear Forum Members,
Adam Gussow has kindly offered me the opportunity to post an apology for my behavior in forum posts last year.
I acted like a child, a jerk, and an a-hole,…I’m sure you can think of some other names. To those I attacked or impacted directly I am most sorry for being so immature. There is no excuse for my behavior, but that I have some growing up to do. I am working on that and will hopefully become a more positive member of the harmonica community in the future.
In regards to product complaints or customer service issues that have been posted on here, you are free to contact me directly and I will make every effort to make it right.
Best wishes for a healthy and prosperous 2012.
