Hopefully someone on this board can help me...
I actually used to own an Ab Velvet Voice Chromatic (Hering) but they do not seem to make it any longer... Also, Hohner does not make an Ab model... Anyone here familiar with Seydel or Suzuki? Do they have an Ab model?
If anyone has a used velvet voice for sale I may have located some Ab reed plates - please let me know...
Thanks in advance for any help you can offer

Suzuki does not make an Ab.
Seydel might be willing to tune one up for you - check out the harp configurator on their website.
Another alternative is to get a G chromatic and an A chromatic - this only works with straight tuned instruments and therefore won't work with the CX-12 or most Suzuki chroms.
You take the Bb reedplate (bottom) off the A-harp, and replace it with the Ab reedplate from the G-harp. Then you flip the slide upside down so that when the slide is out, the bottom (Ab) plate get the air, and when you press the slide in, the top reedplate (A) get the air.

Winslow thanks for your response....
I am actually a HOHNER endorsee and they may be willing to do the reedplate switch you describe.. That is genius!
I did contact HOHNER about a special tuning but this seems like a much easier fix using a 270 Chromatic...
Thanks again for your help...
