Just tried to comment on Brendan's post (amazing harp switching technique), but got the message 'Oh dear ,' - already irritating in its aloofness - 'We hate it when this happens,' which annoyed me even more because of its psuedo-human psuedo-compassion. I'm guessing this is why there's a string of posts with only one comment, as if we're all on different islands, desperately smoke-signalling. Oh dear. I hate it when this happens.
EDIT: I'm clearly beginning to go mad in my isolation (might paint a face on one of my harps and call it Wilson), but I just realised I'd prefer it if captcha said 'Error in line 101' or something similar instead of trying to console me. I'd hate it if my appliances started apologising. "Sorry,Jon, I can't wash it any whiter than that;" "You'll hate me for this, Jon, but I think I recorded the wrong show;" "I really tried to avoid any overspill, Jon, but my flush isn't what it used to be."
