Sorry about the shaky video, there were a lot of people in the house and I was getting jostled around a bit, as well as people getting in front of the camera.
Damn good showman. What a great clip. No doubt about it, Billy Branch is awesome. What blew my mind was the caliber of skill & soul of his back up. Killer, MAN!! Thanks. I was especially zoning in on the bassist and drummer. The guitarist was good, too. Then, out of nowhere the piano player stepped up. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Hey, this sight is great, thanks Adam! and thanks atty1chgo, The audio was more than sufficient. You did a great job, considering...you're usually blocking somebody's view at any given time. Due to moving around like that. It's fun, I film stuff over here, too. BUT...it's not like Billy Branch is gonna ever come to my favorite watering hole (OnStage Drinks And Grinds) in Kapahulu, HAWAII. And bring this same band to play, too!..ha! Cool low key bar. Where was that?

Why is it that we all just can't get along?<

looks like Artis lounge in the South side of Chicago..........Bully and his band play there every sunday when he's not touring. I had the pleasure of jamming with his band there a few years ago - what a nice fella he is too!
Billy told me he played there on Mondays, not Sundays. I don't think Artis's has music on Sundays, anymore. JW Williams used to have that gig, then Tre' had it.
"Son of Juke." Here's a superb example--a defining example--of how a modern blues master neither fetishizes tradition nor rejects it, but interacts with in a genuinely creative way. You modulate! You f--k with time. You add new riffs. But you bring history along in the form of the best-known riff by THE master of the amplified harp.
What you don't do is spend time arguing about whether Little Walter began the riff on the 2 draw or 3 blow. That's scholasticism. It has its place, once the art form is dead. But if you're interested in keeping it fresh and relevant, then you play something like this.
Billy Branch and Sons of Blues are headlining Hill Country Harmonica 2012.
