I have been playing harp for about 8 months now and want to start taking Adam's lessons. I am going to start at the Beginning level and then move on to the Advanced Beginner. The Beginning lesson talks about 4 draw bend, but when in the lesson sequence does he teach the 2,3 draw? At the end of the Advanced Beginner lesson it says it doesnt require bends? I see he has 3 seperate lessons on the 2,3,4 draw bends. Is that where I'd learn how to bend? I know Adam has spent alot of time on the website lesson sequence but I am still confused?

Thanks

The 4 bend is much easier than the 2 & 3. The 2 & 3 can be problematic for the beginner (even playing unbent).

You will get there eventually...

The 4 hole inhale bend is "shallower" than the 2 and 3 inhale bends, thus easier to understand and master.

The 4 inhale allows one note lower to be created using the inhale bend technique. The 2 has two notes created while the 3 will allow three notes.

Are all the lessons on the basic's dvd available on youtube?

bluemoose, i looked at your webbrain - pretty cool. can you click on a lesson and have it take you to the youtube lesson? or is it just an organization tool and no links? I've never used a webbrain before. Thanks.

when you click on a node (thought) it becomes the active thought in the center of the top frame (plex). The text frame on the bottom is associated with the active thought. When you select a video node (eg. MBH.023) the node in the text frame is clickable and will take you right to Adam's video.
Use the lower left search window to select vid's by number (use % for a wildcard, %23 will bring up MBH.023) or find the cross refs to select by topic.
