Smooth.
I'll say more but that's my summary, smooth.
That's what I wanted so I'm VERY happy with the pedal.
I do notice the "distance" between me and the amp. It's
not a fidelity issue though, it's more like a very subtle response difference in time. I used the term fidelity to refer to the sound of the amp, not tone -that's my job. Amp sounds almost the same.

Cool, Littoral. I really miss using my delays; I've gone to playing and singing thru the same mic ( an old Shure 515) to lighten my load, and I'm using reverb instead of delay. I'll gig with delay, but not jam. Really miss that slap-echo.
