This guy is near my area. I have not needed any chromatic service done, but I was very impressed when I heard Joe Filisko mentioned that Steve Pruitt was the go to guy for chromatics.

I do reed replacement, retuning, general cleaning, windsaver replacement . . . I have done a lot of chromatic work--I worked for a year as harp repair guy for Suzuki. BTW, word from Daron is that there is now no out of warranty repair on Suzuki harmonicas.

On the east coast there's Mike Easton and in Northern California there's Steve Malerbi, both excellent techs.

Gary (GNarly) is a great guy and a great tech. Mike Easton is super, too.. as is Sissi Jones (Formerly of Hohner).. All take pride in their work and give great attention to their customers..

I've got 2 Hohner 270's and a Suzuki SCX-56, all with bad reeds. ( The 270 in C has a reed missing.) I figure as soon as I find somebody, I'll have to have the work done by mail unless I can find somebody here in the L.A. area.

I am in San Diego, and would like to do the 270s if you pick me 8) Send the SCX to George Miklas, he has the right tools and needs the work. He is at harmonicat@gmail.com and tell him I recommended him (even tho he will probably want to do the 270s too).
