"Last year's event was an amplified player's tour-de-force and this year won't let off that gas with Billy Branch, Adam Gussow, Dr. "Feel Good" Potts, not to mention Mitch Kashmar, who the late, great William Clarke called "my absolute favorite blues harp player of his generation, and one of my favorites period", says event director. "BUT we're also privileged to have Phil Wiggins joining us--one of the world's finest acoustic player/teachers and a world renowned master of the Piedmont Blues Style. Plus, we have Todd Parrott, a gospel/blues player who is, along with Jimi Lee, Brandon Bailey and the rest of our facilitators, giving us the opportunity to make the multi-level learning aspects of this event truly world class. It's a "must-be-there" weekend for anybody who plays the blues harp, from the raw beginner to the professional player alike."

If you are a blues harp player or even a blues lover in general, dollar for dollar, player-for-player, this is THE place to be in the summer of 2012!

Waiting to register there but i can likely get that weekend off

If someone wanted to go halves on a rental car from mem I'd likely be down. I don't use a credit card (personal philosophy)so renting a car is a challenge for me.

Just figured out that this is just about a 45 minute drive from my house, so I'm thinking it might be possible to make it out there.

I can't find any schedule yet on the site that tells how early things start, and how late the end. Do any previous attendees have a previous timeframe for each day?

Please take another look at the homepage, everybody. I've updated it. On Friday, we're having a meetup at The Shak BBQ just outside Oxford from 4 to 7:30 PM, with a set or two of music (outdoors or indoors, depending on the weather) by Adam Gussow and Shine Turner, followed by Deak Harp & his Band hosting the jam at Rooster's Blues House on the Square a couple of miles away (9 PM - 1 AM). Be prepared to eat BBQ and drink beer.

As for Saturday and Sunday, the "formal" part of the program at Foxfire Ranch: 10 AM to midnight both days, with informal stuff happening before and after those posted hours.
