The 5D reed on my SP20 key of A cracked and Hohner wants $28 for a new reed plate!

Can anyone steer me to where I can get just a new reed?

MP offers a great deal on reed replacement with shipping extra if the harp is older you might be better off with reed replacement-tough decision

You can get singles and rivets from Hohner but you have to call them. I haven't seen them on the website yet.

Mark (MP) charges $10 to replace the reed. Add two way postage of 3+3 = total of $16. If the harp is in good shape, that's probably the best resolution you might find, unless buying hohner reeds and doing it yourself might be cheaper? Mark's work is real good too. FWIW.

...hey!
MP just fixed the 4 an 5 draw, replacing both reeds, on my SP20.
Not only that, he tuned the whole harp all over again to bring it up to snuff.
And for me, this is a real inexpensive and valuable service. Valuable, I repeat!!!
You can't go wrong. Just click on his user name for more info.
Turn around time is faster than you might think.
