And people wonder why professional players don't spend their time on Internet forums...


David Barrett does a good job of getting these guys to open up and provide information to players that is invaluable, if they would only listen. I guess listening is something that isn't easily taught.

When it all boils down to what hat and sunglasses you wear, its no wonder that harp players are looked at with such disdain by most musicians.

Great interview. I really enjoy David Barretts stuff. I also subscribe to his online news letter and instructional info.
Dynamics, cohesiveness, tone(very important), phrasing.."get under the singer"....listen and learn...or get out of the way....keep your manners, and you'll always be called back. Unless you want to be all by yourself.
