I stumbled upon this video today of my friend Billy Gibson playing a concert with Magda Piskorczyk in Poland.
It is a perfect example of a blues harmonica master taking his time, and melding his style with an unfamiliar type of chord arrangement and melody. The song itself hails from Mali by a group called "Tinariwen".



To my surprise and great delight, we even find old Billy doing a few OVERLOWS!!!

Yeah!! I have people tell me that certain songs aren't "harp friendly." I say they're ALL harp friendly. Some are just more challenging than others.

Love that North African Middle Eastern blues harp rock. I think Billy Gibson is an often overlooked talent. He nailed it.
