I am curious how many months or years you can use one OOTB harp? Thanks!

It varies greatly. It depends on how much I use a particular harp. When I played four hours a day on the Harlem streets, I could blow out a harp in a week. I learned to tweak them and tune 'em up mostly to save money.
The Db that I used on KICK AND STOMP lasted a couple of years, because I didn't use it much and didn't practice on it much.
The 4 blow is usually the reed that goes out, because it's the blow reed that gets the most single note work, and the most aggressive work.
