Has to be at the beach!
Better still, at a pub at the beach – the old style country pub with a big back bar that has good food, a stage, a dance floor and room for a reasonable crowd
With a band playing – no, let’s make it lots of bands playing. And blues bands – better still, blues bands with harmonica leads!
Which bands? I’d want:
- Jim Conway’s Big Wheel (Jim Conway on harmonica) - Chris Wilson Band (Chris Wilson on harmonica) - Continental Blues Party (‘Continental Robert’ Susz on harmonica) - Collard Greens and Gravy (Ian Collard on harmonica)
And the cricket would need to be on the big screen in the front bar so you could duck out and check the score while the next band was setting up. And Australia would need to be winning!
And that was last Wednesday at Tathra Hotel!
Cheers Maka

Bugger!!
Not jealous but why don't these guys spend more time in Queensland? Went to a workshop run by Ian Collard a few years back & wow can he play.
But I'm off to the beach right now. Have a house 200m from the surf near Noosa. It's a 36c day which is hot but fairly normal for now.
Come 5pm lazing on the veranda with a few ice cold stubbies of liquid amber and an old but sweet sounding harp. Then a bit later the Prawns are on the BBQ - bliss!
Wake me up and it happens again tomorrow. Mmmm maybe sausages or chops or some Angus beef for tomorrows BBQ but the time, the harp, & the liquid amber are set in stone. ---------- HARPOLDIE’S YOUTUBE
