Thanks to Mario Hemken for immortalizing my old Chevy truck:
It gets 13 mpg. You can singlehandedly trace global warming to this truck. It spews gas vapor out the exhaunst at idle. Very hot cam!

Adam - Forget about this 'old metal'. How is the Honda?
I believe in a few years that Honda my well be looked upon in a similar way to the old shack where Muddy alledgedly lived (respected at least on this forum!). In your old age you could charge a couple of dollars to see the old bird at Hill Harmonica (the very car in which those video's were made)and supplement your pension!
I'd love to get 13mpg, the Cyclone gets 10. I'd say the old chevy is lookin fit.
Tell your Mama if she throws her money away on the Chevy Volt the carbons will be offset. And you ain't been drivin enough cause I had below freezing and had to cover my tomatoes 3 days ago. Now lets all go burn some super Shell.
awesome grown up with chevy n ford pickups living in oklahoma and missouri.i always foung that the four barrels on them have two small primary jet ports and two big! secondary jet ports,so in theory when yer not rumping around but, just idleing through town you can save a little fuel buy keeping your foot out of the pedal as much, with a light touch! but what's the fun with that!LOL! p.s. that usally pertanes to quadrajet carbs.
I'm sure missed the prior discussions but ... Did you do the restoration yourself? I'd like to hear the story of how it came to be. It's a real sweet ride, for sure. ---------- "Keep it in your mouth" - XHarp
