Here is an instrumental I made with a David Barrett BT for a contest he had 3 or 4 months ago. Tons of position changes through the magic of Audacity...

Nice playing Frank! Really swinging! Thought I heard a "my Babe" quote at 0:45? Loved the part around 2:15-2:20 too. Did you use a lot of myxolydian runs in this? I'm too sucky to determine mode by just listening but it had some swinging sound that went away from the blues scale. (I hope, or I will seem like a schmuck with those guesses...)

Ass kicking.

Thank you very kindly gentlemen...

Pistolcat, I mixed up the blues and Mixolydian scale. So, yes Mixolydian scale or "pieces of it" are in there more by feel and listening to what sounded best as I was creating the tune. In other words, I would try a run and if it fit then I would use it. I wasn't quoting "My Babe" - though I do love that song and the harp solo in it is sensational...And you don't seem like a schmuck - you seem like your listening closely and that's a great way to learn and grow!
