Great set of videos by Lee Sankey on Youtube. He has put together all the techniques of his previous tongue blocking videos and come up with Bill's Blues, a tribute to William Clarke. The first two videos show you how to play the head and the third is Lee putting it all together with improvisations. Great stuff! Lots of fun to play.

Or if you prefer to see them all on one page, I have posted them on my blog.

Yes, super collection of videos on tongue blocking. They have been a big help for me.

A percentage of teachers in various disciplines have a propensity to default into lecturing and pontificating. Much more difficult to understand how to actually inspire and impart knowledge.

Lee doesn"t fart around or lead you down the merry road. If you are just now developing these skills he can get you started.

I really like the cohesion that his lessons have had. Each lesson presented a certain aspect of tongue-blocking and then he brought them all together in a really swinging piece at the end that shows you what can be done with those ideas. The final instrumental shows you that you can now play something meaningful while at the same time showing how much work you still have to put it to bring it alive. Very enjoyable!

Yeah, I hope he keeps the youtube videos coming. That's quite a series of lessons to get for free. Can't beat it.

Here's another guy in case you haven't picked up on this yet. Great way to learn slaps.
