I've just finished watching the entire interview/discussion between Adam and David Barrett on David's website. I have to say it was really great to see Adam talking on video about harmonica and not being constrained to a 10 minute window on Youtube.

I very much enjoyed the anecdotes, tips and insights Adam shared. Great stuff!

I particularly enjoyed the fact that Adam had all his harps lined up in front of him and never hesitated to play examples of what he was talking about. His great tone and sheer playing power unamplified really came across well on the video.

Adam's passion for the music and knowledge of it was clearly evident. Really enjoyed it!

The interviews in bluesharmonica.com are really great resources. I think Adam's was especially fine.

I wanted to see/hear the Barrett/Gussow video when it was announced a week or two ago, but I don't remember where I saw the announcement, and I couldn't find it here in the forum. Can someone point me to it, or post the link? Thanks very much!

It's on David Barrett's pay subscription site www.bluesharmonica.com and it is probably not freely available to view unless you are a member of the site.

A clip from the interview was put up on Youtube by David Barrett here:

David Barrett doesn't just have a fantastic blues harmonica website, but in person he's a true gentleman. He set up three cameras. We talked for a long time. It's the most extensive interview I've ever given on the subject and WILL give on the subject, and it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. I'm genuinely grateful to have been given the chance to just....talk harp with a fellow player/teacher.

That's exactly the way it came across Adam. Two pros shooting the breeze with slight nods to the audience to let us in on your secrets. I will definitely be revisiting that interview in the future. What made the interview great was not just the great harp playing and examples, but also Adam's ability to clearly articulate his ideas and converse intelligently on a fascinating and rich topic.

Great interview! I have a question about his website: he says the music can be downloaded to your iPhone, etc. What about the videos? I'd love to listen to them on my long drives.

The videos can't be downloaded, but the mp3s and pdfs can.
