As always I,m always lurking on e-bay for different cool vintage harp amps and have come across a couple of Harp Kings in the past couple of weeks. We have all seen the increases in cm and cr elements in the past five yrs, some are off the charts and I,m glad that I bought mine when I did but one H.King is going for $5500. and another that just listed for $7000.Damn,I wish I would have bought one or two a couple of yrs ago when the prices were 1/3 that.As the saying goes supply and demand I guess, but $7000.Happy Holidays

Those amps will only be worth that amount when someone pays that much for one. There is nothing to prevent someone from listing anything at an inflated price.

What Joe L said. When I'm trying to determine a fair price for used gear I check out what an item actually sold for. You can do this by clicking on advance search and checking the completed auction box.

The $7000 Harp King was first listed with a $75 dollar buy it now....obviously a mistake.....but I figured what the hell and bought it.....the seller cancelled the transaction for the obvious reason of the wrong price....so I guess if I really want it I need to come up with $6925 more.....does that come with a car?

Paul, you scored! Heck, I would have given you 150.00 for it, doubled your money! I bid on a Kendrick Texas Crude some years back. I thought the opening bid was below what it would sell for so I bid on it, just to keep track of it, I was curious to know it would sell for. No one else bid! So I got a great amp at a good price. Problem was, I had already ordered a Sonny Jr. and it came the next day! Money was tight for the next 6 months!

Sorry rbeetsme I want $12000.00 plus actual shipping (LOL)but I will throw in a Hohner bluesblaster.... seriously though, I have bid on a few things like you did with the Kendrick and occasionally it is a great way to try an amp that you know you can get your money back or perhaps profit. So did you end up re-selling the "Crude"?

Yeah, I kept it 4 years, terrific amp when you got it dialed in, which wasn't easy. I sold it for a small profit.
