Just got delivered a new set of Suzuki Manji replacement plates for the keys of C and D. Excellent quality, and only around $30.00 each SHIPPING INCLUDED.

Can't beat that price, especially when the new ones are pricey.

On the one harp, I only replaced the plate with the broken reed. Will it make a difference that both were not replaced? I don't think so, it doesn't sound like it it will, but I'm just asking.

It's been my practice to replace only the plate with the bad reed, but we're not talking about a huge sample. I figure if it ain't broke....

how on earth did you break a reed atty?? i do have a draw 4 going flat on my D manji. but i can't imagine breaking one off. in fact the only harps i ever broke a reed on were sp20's and it's been a very long time.

I've seen broken reeds on two harps. One was a special 20 less than a month old. The other was an older entry level Hohner. I chalked it up to defective reeds. Somebody got to aggressive with a file at the factor?

Here is the rundown. I broke a 5 draw reed on a Special 20 D harp, and a 6 draw reed on the Manji D harp. The Manji reed broke after about 1 1/2 years, the Special 20 reed broke in 2 months.
