Hello,

I have no christmas concerts 2011, so I decided to put some music on Youtube.
Todays is "Lucia" in Sweden, 11 nights left to christmas.

Here I play Jingle bells on harmonica and write my "want for christmas gift list" on an email to Santa.
I´d love to have UA 610 preamp and a pair of Neumann KM 184 microphones.
As you can see, I am also trying to grow a christmas beard.

Welcome to check it out and have a good time !

You ought to try and swap that "no-hands"technique for gifts with Santa. It comes in handy when holding the reins to the reindeer.

God Jul och fridfull Lucia.

Yes, but can you do it with something other than your mouth?

(just kidding - I thought that was great!)

This thread didn't get enough love!

I LOVE the video. It's beautiful in every way. Your playing is great, your showmanship is really fun, and the decor and visuals are amazing.

EDIT: The Christmas beard is looking pretty good too. It's hard to see in the video if you already know this, but the most important part of a beard is the mustache.

Thanks jdblues!

I am working on the beard, doing my best every day. Is it your beard in the link? Looks good.
Yes the stache is important, to bad it get stuck in the chromatic harmonica.. I have to trim it every 7 days or so. But its very clear that everything looks more massive - with a good stache!

I wish that was my beard!

Anyways, I like to keep the mustache slightly longer than the beard. I use a trimmer with numbered settings, and I trim the rest of the beard 1 to 2 numbers shorter than the mustache.

They do get caught in the harmonica sometimes. I think that's why Lee Oskar doesn't wear a mustache anymore, his harps are the worst for facial hair.

To mitigate the problem, I use a trimmer with no guard to cut just the hairs that reach down over my lip or out away from the face, while keeping the rest of the mustache full and beautiful.
