I did a quick search and found no reference to the above book, co-authored by Tony Glover, listed as being a topic. So....
I finally got around to buying it. Damn. This really is a book everyone in here should read. Its reads like an encyclopedia. I almost feel disappointed I was too young to have seen this guy live.
If you get this book, it would help to have the music that is referenced throughout. I'd recommend having access to: Chess 50 year anniversary edition of Jimmy Rogers and Chess 50 year anniversary edition of Muddy Waters, both double CD's, and The Complete Chess Masters of Little Walters. (I believe Glover had a hand in this as well, so the song listings are in order of how they are discussed in the book.)
This is a complete history of the guy who started it all for us. An important read.

I have read blues with a feeling and just now finished moanin at midnight a biography of howlin` wolf which I highly recommend-I plan to read cant be satisfied a book about muddy waters-anybody read this?

Yes I recommend that one, groyster.
I bought it at a record store in Chicago & read most of it on the flight back home to the UK.
