My elementary school-age daughter was assigned to do a single variable science project with bean plants and growth.
She didn't want to do the standard ones (soil, light, etc.) so eventually decided to see if the blues changed how much a plant grows. The control group experienced standard ambient noise while the experimental group got a full work day's worth of blues.
So the scientific question: "How does the blues affect the growth of bean plants?"
The surprising conclusion after rigorous scientific investigation: Cats eat bean plants.
Good times.

So, did the cat eat the bean plants during the Blues or or ambient noise? What is the effect of Blues on feline digestion?

At first we thought the blues might protect the plants from being eaten, but since it was a nighttime delicacy there was no blues playing and all plants were eventually equally munched.

see, maybe some slim harpo or jimmy reed playing all night would have given the cat the blues and he'd have lost his appetite. ---------- http://www.reverbnation.com/jawboneandjolene
