Maybe Someone else will find this Useful =)

First, Explanation, The Minor Pentatonic Is 5 Notes, From the Minor Pentatonic You can build Several Scales, Like The Blues Scale or The "Natural" Minor..

So This is my trick for learning the Minor Pentatonic in "almost" all keys

I ALWAYS THINK OF THE SONG KNOCK ON WOOD "Amii Stewart"

The Intro Starts With The Minor Pentatonic Scale,

And everybody knows the Intro, But not everybody Knows its the Minor Pentatonic,

So play A - C - D - E - G - E - D - C - A
After you Nail that Move to next Key

Your mnemonic would work with Midnight Hour, too. It's basically the same lick backwards. Steve Cropper wrote them both:

While I'm in the Stax/Volt mood, here's a rare clip of the originalclassic Booker T. and the MGs lineup doing their greatest tune:

Great vid. But this is NOT the original Booker T & the MGs line up. The original bass player was Lewis Steinberg. In this vid Duck Dunn is on bass. Great performance!

Thanks, hvyj, I'd forgotten about Lewie Steinberg. He only played on the first two albums. What I meant was that this video was before the tragic murder of Al Jackson Jr..
