I notice that so many bands, notably blues bands of late are made up of greying guys,, many are ex rockers who , having the kids grown and such are able to get out of the house,, able to afford quality equipment and have time to practice,, but find warmed over rock from their youth either requires too much practice, memory cells, or that people are tired of it, so they play blues, and many do it well Unfortunately , most play the same 30 or so songs. On the positive side,, the GOOD part an overweight, balding and /or graying band means your date is not likely to be making goo goo eyes at them,,, just sayin.....

Part of the reason the music from the "good old days" sounds better is because we have had years to sort it out and only keep the best. 50 years from now people will still be saying, "there is so little good music today but the music on the radio (or whatever we listen to music on then) from 50 years ago all sounds great!"
