See my post in a different thread...this is wicked cool!!!!
(This vid obviously has mass harp player appeal because of the technical feat. However, I think the way it was executed was sweet enough that a blues-loving, but not harmonica playing crowd, would enjoy this for reasons beyond how it was played.) ---------- Mike Quicksilver Custom Harmonicas VHT Special 6 Mods

The only reason surely you would play anything in7th position is to ,well.show that you can play..in 7th position? I'm missing something here..other than admiring his technical ability..it didn't sound 'bluesy' and a couple of times more like the chordal music the richter was designed for. Ah shite what do i know.
Absolutely great. Nice job on tone and pitch, plus as also mentioned geat job on playing alteration, which is absolutely uncommon for harmonica players. ---------- Excuse my bad English. Click on my photo or my username for my music.
Germany's got the blues? I guess so. Sounded bluesy enough for me and with a good variety of licks, no repetitiveness. Sweet use of the high end of the harp (where I'm weak). All in all, a commendable performance from my perspective.
I visited one of those events (harmonica masterclass in trossingen, germany) autumn 2003 i think,, then I was 16. how old are you now Konstantin?
I have not recovered yet, it was such a great moment to meet all great harp players and people that share the same passion. Hats off and many thanks for Steve Baker and the people behind those events!
Perhaps playing in 7th position is a way a strengthening the concept of playing notes, however they are created, as notes and not slippery bends.
This discipline reinforces so much musicality for the diatonic that one stops thinking position altogether, instead just concentrating on playing notes. ---------- The Iceman
Is he really playing in seventh position? When I play to it with a B harp in second, I can pretty much follow along. Besides, he mentions on the YouTube channel that his harp is "really out of tune". Not to take away anything, it's still a fine performance.
Real nice Konstantin! You make rarely-used 7th Position sound like the perfect Blues key, very expressive with all those bent notes occurring as part of the scale. As Filip says "control and awareness at a top level".

One reason to play 7th position is you get that easy access to the tritone. It puts some
devil
in your blues.
