I met Mr. Ali. In an elevator in a hotel in Woodland Hills, Calif. one evening in the 1980's going up to my room. I looked at him closely. "Are you Mohammed Ali?" He was motionless for a moment, then struck a pose like he was in the ring, fists on guard, ready to punch. "I'm honored to meet you, Sir." He didn't say anything, the pose was enough. He gave me a flyer for the charity he sponsored. It was 25+ years ago so I don't remember the exact name, but it was for health care for those in need. A cool dude.

Great story. I met a WWII vet in an elevator in Hawaii (Oahu) late one night on December 7th, 2005, he was in full dress uniform (Class A's?) I was with my 2 sons and my nephew. It was deadly silent... I then thanked him for his service to our country. My 2 boys and nephew chimed in too. He stood silent. Awkward silence. He then turned to shake my hand and his lip was quivering and he thanked -us-. I'll never forget that.
