lord have mercy, that is a greasy sound right there...
I just dunno how trustworthy those old amps are, though. But yeah, that tone is to die for.

A properly maintained old amp is often more trustworthy than a new one. Point-to-point wiring vs. circuit boards - HUGE difference in ability to withstand mechanical shock. Wires yield. Circuit boards crack.
