I guess I am sharing it to point out the way I set up the loops. I was able to play the beatbox riff for just one pass of the loop and then the harp and bass parts in just one pass each without having to wait for things to cycle through. On top of that, everything is synched even though I am turning effects on and off, etc...no drifting.
The bonus-bonus is how easy it is to stop and start the different parts to create dynamics.
You can't do this with any of the other non-rack and non-computer loopers I've seen mentioned here. ---------- Mike Quicksilver Custom Harmonicas VHT Special 6 Mods

Sounds good. I like the harmonica playing starting at 2'05.
Are you doing whole sets of OMB loop boxy stuff like this? Maybe I'm weird but when I hear OMB stuff I like to hear fuller songs with a band after 2 or 3 songs. Though at least the loopy box thingy is easier to listen to then foot drums/stomp boxes (aside from Mr. Satan), imo.

I have two large harmonica orders to wrap up and then I am super excited to dedicate a few nights a week to this format.
I have like a zillion ideas in my head, but not the time to work them all out. I did a video of Pumped Up Kicks and put it on YouTube. That is a song that will be fun to gig with for a few months, until it isn't popular anymore. That was only the second time I worked through the song. I did it the first time live on a whim. It went over really well, but again, live show where people were in the moment. Probably about as good as the YouTube, lol. Needs some work.
I like sharing these as they push me to practice and such, but I am a bit embarrassed by the idea of starting a new thread every time I record my practice. Hopefully next week I can share some live clips as I think that is where this format will really prove fun...

I don't use any programming. I use a looper, but I have to create everything in real time. It doesn't save presets or anything.
I don't see any fake instruments here. I use a stompbox (which sounds like a bass drum) in real time in addition to what I am doing here, but haven't used it in a video yet.
I tried setting it up last night, but my mixer is packed with my PA and the powered speaker only has two inputs (instrument and vocal mic in my case). I tried running it through my pedal board, but it only works post-effects, which sounds like crap. So at home, I just use it unamplified. I use a tambourine a lot, but that wasn't handy when I recorded today over lunch.
This is totally a work in progress for me, but a lot of fun. Why do it this way? Well, it puts the harmonica in a pretty cool position. I like trying to do something that is at least a little bit outside the box, contemporary, and challenging. It also lets me do what I want but still be accessible to others.
