When I had a Masco PA head, I ran it through the speakers of one of my other amps. An 8" speaker in a tweed Champ cabinet or 2x8" in my Double Trouble cabinet. During the time that I had that amp, I ran it through other cabinets outside the house.

I talked to Skip Simmons about speaker preferences and cabinets with his refurbed Masco heads. His response, "the speakers won't matter much. It'll sound great through anything." After fooling around with one of his PA heads, I would tend to agree.
If I didn't have any speakers in a cabinet, I would probably build a cabinet with a single alnico Weber 10" speaker.
