I'm a crew supervisor at a Christmas tree farm. One of the things that I started doing at the end of our lunch break, and sometimes out in the field to keep the work mojo goin, is to do a tune of the day. Sometimes a nice rompin tune or something along the lines of a slow blues. All depends on what that days situation seems to need. The guys on my crew are really diggin it, and started requesting stuff. The Mexicans get a real kick out of it when I do La Couckaracha. Does anyone here play for the folks at your jobsite? I know some places probably frown on this sort of thing. But I know a lot of places probably don't care. So,...who here likes to jam at work?

i am in the landscape business. about 1x a month the bosses feel a need to have everyone in a meeting. at the end of the meeting they try to get us fired about and hustling to our jobs. folks are slow. i try to get them back up with some hoochie coochie man with improvised lyrics. usually hacking on the topic or a boss.
when we are in the field, i will play some harp after lunch or during some impromptu breaks or when we have a couple of guys doing the chain-gang thing going with the picks.
and i always play it in unique places when we are doing some landscape rehabs like churches, wayne state university....
i even blew harp in bob seger's studio. (no contract was offered.)
