Well, the Bass driver always stays on. The looper is a lot of buttons, but can be limited to two, and the M13 is only used for delay, usually. I use it more for rock gigs.

So live, all I do is send a lineout foh.

Thanks for the demos Mike. The Bass Driver really added a lot of tone. I didn't know effects for Bass Guitar could be used for harp. The single notes were clear as well as the octaves. What was the bass setting on the HG2?

I stumbled on the Tech 21 stuff looking up straight to PA guitar-friendly pedals. In a thread about the Blonde, the Bass DI came up. I then Googled that and harmonica and found reference to SOD using it. I then went through 100's of pics to confirm this.

A week ago, this rig sounded worse (SOD settings didn't work for me). Through my laptop, the YouTube doesn't do it ANY justice. Through my super-expensive headphones and when hearing it live, it is awesome.

I also confirmed the awesomeness at two gigs with my own ears and the ears of some reliable music people.

The way I use the DI is to make the beatboxing and bass sound good in relation to the harmonica. I use a very clean AKG D5 (thanks Superchucker77) and don't cup it unless soloing. I play one handed and the harp tends to sound "acoustic" and without much coupling. Gripped tight, it gets more "blues" flavored, but nowhere near what I get with my Ultimate 57.

When I beatbox (my weakest skill) and sing bass lines, I cup tighter and strive for coupling. The signal to the HG2 sounds like crap, which is a good thing. The PA does all the heavy lifting of the bass and drums. The HG2 is really just meant for harmonica. I hope this makes sense. The HG2 and monitor are both important.

The HG2 has a lone tone control set on 2 (my man-cave is a feedback nightmare). There is no bass control. The QSC K10 was on about 1/4 way. The HG2 was on 6 with a 12ay7. Any more and if feedsback here. At a gig, I can get to 8. The K10 sounds like my old HG50 1210. Not quite like a 410, but damn close.

I intentionally have the DI set to be dark compared to the K10, again, for the bass and beatboxing. Again, the video doesn't even come close to doing it justice.

I am obviously back from my trip...here is a link for the video that isn't meant for a Smart Phone.

Thanks to those who are checking this out. Double thanks for all the positive support. I am excited to do a more formal demo really soon. I need to break out my mixer and get the stompbox and vocals set-up.
