Heres a sample video from Dave Barrett with one of his new interviews with Steve Guyger.

Steve has some wise words and at 3 mins plays an awesome jam with Dave.

To me this is what the harp was truly made for:o)

Absolutely bloody fantastic! Steve Guyger is simply amazing. He has been one of my all time favourite players for a very long time. And of course Steve and Dave prove in this clip that it's all about acoustic tone.

All these brilliant old school players say basically the same thing.

Learn to play real fast if you want.
Then only do it when it compliments the music.
Not because you can. :o)

Any technique, when overused is just plain boring.

Watch Guyger's stomach when they cut to a side view around 4:40. That's the key.

I think David's interview videos that he has on youtube are some of the instructional freebies out there. Depending on your location, discussions with pro players about harp playing can be few and far between. Where else can you get the opinion of pro players and tap into some of their experiences.
