Yeeeaah, i got that cd years ago when it came out because I liked larry Carlton, being into jazz/rock since the '70s.

What a bonus to discover the wonderful, soulful harp playing of Terry..

Damn...! he's good, but that song even gave ME the blues. That's some heavy stuff... he makes that harp moan and groan.

Todd,
Man this is heaven to listen to.
I just ordered the cd because of the intro.
With your extensive knowledge of Terry what other cd's do you recomend?

I am a sucker for slow blues and is this in the key of B or is it in B minor. I can never tell between major and minor I just know that Terry is in the key of E 2nd pos.

Cheers

Russ

Oxharp,

I'm not sure if there's another album quite like this one, but his solo albums were very good as well.

One of my Harp heros. Had the CD for 5 yrs now. His "I got a feelin" CD is great also. It never gets old. I learned a lot of licks from Terry and pattern a lot of my stuff after him. If I ever go back to Pigon Forge I'm going to stop by his grave and say thanks.Hope to see him on the other side and play a little harp with him and the gang:)

It is not traditional blues, but Terry's "I've Got A Feeling" is a great gospel album that includes his classic versions of "Amazing Grace" and "This Train". You can get a taste of the cd by checking out both songs, which are available as videos on YouTube.

The cd is out of print, but I picked it up a couple of years ago on Amazon.
