How were the Hohner 270's from around 1991? Are the new ones (not including the deluxe) made better these days?

The ones I recall playing at the time were decent instruments.
The new reed dimensions are not everyone's favorites. Hohner claims the reeds last longer, but customizers find them harder to work on and some players like the sound of the old reeds better.
Overall, Hohner harmonicas seem better made now than during recent decades. If you're new to chromatic and want a 270, I wouldn't worry.

I have one I got on ebay from that time period and I like it. Not sure how it compares to the new ones though.
