Quick question. My wife made it known that she's going to buy me a new mic for Christmas. Since I do some vocals, and prefer the smaller head size, I plan on getting an SM57. I ve been eyeing up a bulletizer to play around with. Do any of you use one of these? I'm just wondering how it may tweek the sound.

They're great. When cupped tight, the tone will be much darker than without the bulletizer , but with better bass response, and it makes it easier to use hand/finger effects as you would with a bullet-type mic.. Greg makes a nice product. ---------- Todd L. Greene

Todd: I think 2 chops is asking about vocals. I spoke to Greg about this when I ordered a low Z 545 Ultimate. He said it's fine, but you can easily remove the Bulletizer.
If you're looking to do both vocals and harp from the same mic (assuming you want a driven harp sound into an amp) you might want to look at getting a Radial HotShot switch and a Hi Z switch for your amp. About $20 from Radio Shack.
Here's the link to the Radial ABo switch.

@Stevelegh...Actually I was referring to any change in sound in the harp with the Bulletizer on vs. Off. But since you brought it up about the vocal aspect, thanks for the input. Some of my tunes I do want a somewhat overdriven sound. Some of them a cleaner / accoustic sound. Also, thanks for mentioning about it's ease of installation & removal. I don't want it on the mic all the time. Thanks guys.
