Weird the way the video lags behind the audio.

Most of you may know that Johnnie Johnson was with Chuck Berry in the early years for which credit was a long time coming. Some say, Berry got his guitar style from Johnson's piano style.

I haven't seen anything this recent from Johnnie Johnson. Thanks for putting this up.

Met Johnnie at Augusta Heritage where he was artist in residence. Another unsung fantastic musician, Kelley Hunt from KC was a student of his and she taught also.

Johnnie played in "B" a lot and his right hand riffs were what Chuck Berry drew his guitar ideas from.

My favorite Johnnie Johnson recordings are on the Jimmy Rogers' Blue Bird CD

that is so good. A guy could learn a lot playing along with him. Think I'll check out that Blue Bird cd.

I love his playing too ! I have a couple of his albums: Johnnie Johnson and the Kentucky Headhunters -'That'll Work' and a fantastic one from 1990 called (Johnnie Johnson)'Johnnie B.Bad', which includes some great players including Eric Clapton and Keith Richards
