This is my take on "Send in the Clowns", a song by Stephen Sondheim from the 1973 musical A Little Night Music.

Thanks very much guys!

@Groyster I have tabbed out my version of the song which can be found by watching the vid on youtube proper rather than through the forum. If you click on 'show more' below the vid it will expand to show my tab.

btw Ant if you want to have your Youtube channel as a clickable link. Simply paste the following code at the foot of your posts or better paste the code in your online signature which is found in your login account details.

I have indicated Ant's YouTube in the code but you can replace that bit with any description you like.

Thanks a lot James!

@Aussiesucker Use this code below. As you probably know, you can try this out on the "OT: Practice Your Forum Skills" thread to see if it works OK.

@ Aussie to answer you question on YouTube I believe I am playing in 12th position. However, I'm only just starting to get a handle on this.

I'm playing this song on a C harp and the melody line is

Isn't it rich? Are we a pair?
-3*+4-5-5, -3*+4-5-5,

Me here at last on the ground
+6-6-5+6-6-6-6

You in mid-air
-6+7+4-4

Which on a C harp gives the notes BbCFF,BbCFF, GAFGAAA, AC(C low)D This does seem to fit 12th position.

However when it gets to the bridge, I think there is a key change as draw 7 appears which is not in the 12th position scale but all the following notes are in 2nd position which would give me the key of G for this bit.

Just when I'd stopped opening doors,
+5-6+6-6 (-6-7+6-6) +5-6+6-6 (-6-7+6-6)
Finally knowing the one that I wanted was yours,
+5-7+6-6-7-7-7+7+7+7-7+6-6

Not that this is relevant, the song was originally written in Eb but I changed the key of the playback in order to use my Promaster 350v in C which is my favourite for playing melodies

This btw is what my brain is doing at the moment.

Wow, a bit much for my brain to absorb. I figured 12th because the -5 resolved? Love the final graphic which caught the eye of my 11 yo grandaughter. Thanks for the tabs they are great but hadn't worked my way to the bridge just yet.
