I heard this song on the radio by sonny terry and brownie mcghee it was funny and I could relate to it -they might have recorded before caucasians started to get credibility as successful bluesmen

This actually is from an album of theirs that featured John Mayall back in the 80,s.He does I believe 3 or 4 tracks with them on the album and the song your referring to has to do with J.M..BTW its a great album and is available on CD.It also features,Arlo Guthrie,John Hammond,Sugercane Harris and Michael Franks.Its titled Sonny & Brownie,released 1988.
