A week or so ago I heard some Clifton Chenier zydeco (on the DVD "Legends Of: The American Folk Blues Festivals"), then found his blues cuts.

I never heard anything like it, it is simply awesome. Talked to my grandfather and turns out he has an accordion, which he gave to me today! It's a 2 octave piano accordion with 12 bass buttons. Here I am doodling with it (just 12 bars in C):

Are there any other noteworthy blues accordion players I can listen to? I know Clifton Chenier's son CJ is pretty damned good as well.

Rockin' Sidney is also a harmonica player. His Jin Singles were a big influence on the Fabulous Thunderbirds early on.
