I want one. Charlie McCoy had one on his site, but it has been out of stock for at least a year or two. Airmojo posted a pic with one he got - looks awesome. At some time, probably several years ago, someone else mentioned having one on Harp-l and having to have it custom made.
Anyone with any leads? I like the solid looking molded ones versus getting a belt buckle with a harmonica pictured on it, if that makes sense. ---------- Mike Quicksilver Custom Harmonicas

I am totally in. Anyone else game? I can see this getting complicated quick regarding design, but I am hoping a generic sandwhich style harmonica is good enough...no brand logos or such. Obviously the brass color, ;) ---------- Mike Quicksilver Custom Harmonicas

If you're going down the cast brass harp look, I'd say yes. If it's simply going to be a big flat buckle with a harp on it, no thanks. Probably a good single whack opportunity for someone with a bit of casting skills to organize a group sale.

I emailed the company asking for info on a buckle that would either look similar to eharp's or look like an actual harmonica.
Prices for just a single buckle are over $100, but if 15 people want the design, it is probably $15-$30 each. I will post here as I learn more.

Yeah, I don't want flat. I'd settle for 3D and textured like the Charlie McCoy belt, but my first preference is for it to be an actual harmonica shape.

Hi guys... I actually checked into having a copy of my harp buckle made with ACE buckles about 4 or 5 years ago.
They wanted me to send mine in so that they could make a mold of it, and it would have to be polished so that all the scratches and mojo were cleaned off of it.
I believe my buckle is "pewter", and it is not flat like most buckles you see... it is more "3 dimensional"... the one that Charlie McCoy has is pretty flat (I have one).
Several years ago, the "hole post" in the back of it broke off (too much beer that night!), so I mojo-ed up a new one from a steel nail, shaped it, and secured it with JB Weld.
I didn't want to send it in and risk losing it.
Here is a scan that I made back then...

out of all the brains/tweakers/innovators on this forum, no one can come up with a simple way to use a broken harp for a buckle??!?
okay. let's kick it around here. 1) you gotta remove 1 of the coverplates so you have a better area to secure everything to. 2) the post can be a nail thru the comb as mojo did 3) you need to secure a metal loop for the belt to actually connect to the buckle. 4) perhaps a metal bracket or guide between loop and post.
c'mon. this aint that hard! who's got some skills?

Sounds like a job better suited for a craftsman like Chris Reynolds.
A Seydel Super-6 harp would be about the right size, but believe me, any real harp would get dented and mutilated in no time... my buckle shows some wear and tear after 30+ years, but I still have playable harps that old too... :)

I love all kinds of flashy belt buckles and I've been looking for one with a harmonica for a long time. I recently found a locomotive buckle, which kinda reminds me of the harmonica.
So I would definitely be in. But it has to look Cool. The one AirMojo posted looks good to me.
It would be better of course if someone could actually blow it while you were wearing it.

Hi Mike,
In order to get the brass color, we need to make them in Zinc and you have to reach the minimum of 25.
Here is your pricing:
3-1/4” X 2-1/4” Zinc with Antique Brass finish
25 X = $12.51 ea
Artwork is $25-$50
Shipping is not included in this quote
***I asked about a more silver looking belt and shared the pic AirMojo posted here. I asked for a reference pic of the size of the buckle and if we'd get to see the artwork/get to sign off on it before moving forward.
Sounds like it will be around $20 for the buckle. I am assuming I'll have to take money for the orders, get them shipped to me, and then ship them out to whoever buys them. I am not looking to make a profit off of these, so I will come up with the actual cost before solicting money, etc. ---------- Mike Quicksilver Custom Harmonicas

"Hi Mike,
We actually have a 3D harmonica in 3D that we can use to keep your costs down. If you prefer to have the buckles made in Pewter, then here is your pricing:
3-1/4” x 2-1/4” Pewter
20 X = $23.90 ea
**if you hit 25- the price drops to $14.96 ea **
Add for 3D- one time charge of $50
Artwork will be approximately $25
Shipping is not included in this quote
If you are ready to get some artwork done up, we will provide you with a rendering of what your buckle will look like. We do require a credit card on file to start the process.
It is better to phone in that information.
Best Regards,
-Linda

Why can't some industrious talented harp player use the LOST WAX PROCESS to cast some harp belt buckles? From the looks of the demand he could do well.
