Online Vocal/Singing Lessons, anyone take them?

Quick question and I'm doubtful of affirmative response but still thought I'd ask. It is often said, if you are going to play harmonica in a paid gig setting you're going to need to sing as well. I haven't done this yet but there is an open mic night I'm planning to go to in which singing is part of the act.

So, I started doing some Google-ing and just as I thought, there's a bunch of sites out there that offer vocal/singing lesson tutorials for a cheaper cost then seeing someone in person. This is much like the David Barrett harmonica school, or the Howard Levy harmonica school, or the Jerry Portnoy harmonica school, or the... well they keep popping up every day it seems.

While I acknowledge that online lessons are not as efficient or useful to the individual as in person one on one instruction I do acknowledge that if someone was low enough skill level joined these sites they would gain some competency if they worked at it & that the cost is designed for ease of access ($15-$20/mo vs $45/hr in some cases) which sounds good to me for singing lessons :) .

I'm happy singing in the shower, or singing in the privacy of my woodshed, and singing at the top of my lungs in my car. Mr. Gussow has also suggested something to the effect of no matter what singing voice you have, sing anyway. But, I'm still remotely interested in improving what I got :) . The only thing I do right now to improve that is sing along with scales on my piano but doubt that's enough.

So, I thought I'd ask, does or did anyone take any particular online vocal or singing lessons? If so with which sources? Would you recommend them? There's also a lot of free how to sing sites or even lots of videos on youtube does anyone take part in these and have a favorite site or person to watch/learn from on youtube?

A guy named Eric Arceneaux has some exercises that are menat to strenghten vocal chords, free up your range and sch. I have done a bit of that. Another, sbgalt, has some free stuff. I also just sing whenever I can (busking, at jams) and damn the consequences.

Thanks guys, yeah I'm thinking the youtube tutorials could probably be plenty! I'll have to see if there's an Adam Gussow for the voice out there and report back :) . I'll also check out Eric Arceneaux and sbgalt. Cheers!
