Hey all. I just wanted to give a quick introduction.

I have been playing harmonica since about February, and have been trying to learn blues since a month or two after that. According to this site, I am somewhere between "advanced beginner" and "intermediate". I think of myself as laid back (but who doesn't?), and kinda boring. Besides harmonica, my hobbies include graphic design, a couple video games, and hopefully tennis.

Anyways, I was wondering if anyone knew any blues harp teachers in the Lynchburg, VA area. I know techniques, but have no theory, and thought this would be the best way to learn.

Hi Bugsy and welcome.

If it's theory you want search for Micahel Rubin, Meat and Potatoes either on here or on YouTube.

He's made lots of cool videos that will probably explain all you're likely to need.

I'll second Michael Rubin's Youtube Channel He also gives lessons via Skype. To the left of this page there are links and under Harmonica Teachers you'll find other teachers who teach by skype. Michael Rubins meat and potatoes is a wealth of information.

here's the link:
