Last week or so, someone started a thread about what songs started us down the harmonica path. The two songs that stick out in my mind from my pre-teen years are BS&T's "And When I Die" and CCR's "Run Thru the Jungle".

Does anybody know who the harp player is on the studio version? The player in that video did a good bit of noodling that didn't really work for me. Is he the same guy?

@ Tuckster - "The player in that video" who "did a good bit of noodling" (and probably in the studio version as well) was the great Howard Levy, one of the original BS&T band members.

Wow! Thanks for that.If Howard was once that bad, maybe there's hope for me yet to get good at this damn tin sandwich.

Steve Katz played harmonica on the studio version as well, not Howard.
The song was written by Laura Nero.
