is anybody going? it's not too late. this fest officially starts thursday night with a great open jam. the bands begin friday evening. there are lots of different activities that take place from beginners seminar, advance seminar, beer and wine tasting, harmonica contest... but the real draw for many is the campfire jams. they spring up anywhere and at anytime, but really get cookin' after the bands are done playing friday and saturday! the festival is only @$50. the cost of on-site camping is pretty average for any campground. food vendors make meals hassle-free. http://www.beanblossomblues.com/

Well poop. We're making our annual pilgrimage back to our homeland but won't get there til Sunday night. Weather should be good unless Irene follows us up there. Indiana tomatoes are still holding out and you should find some nice watermelons and cantalopes too. If you are a connoiseur of micro brews like myself then go west to Bloomington and visit the Upland Brewery on west 11th st. If you take Hy 45 west out of Beantown it turns into 10th st. in Bloomington and if you take Hy 46 west out of Nashville it turns into 3rd st. in Bloomington.

Once again, an hour away and I can't make it. John needs to move it a week later.
