Here are some pics of my latest harp. It's a custom Custom Golden Melody with old, pre-MS Meisterklasse reed plates, cut to fit on an aluminum Golden Melody comb, built by Chris Reynolds at www.blowyourbrassoff.com. This one's in the key of D and plays great! We call it the Meister Melody. :)
The covers are from old harps for now, but will be replaced with new ones. (Too bad Hohner now charges $24 for GM covers.)

That looks awesome!
I've never played or held a golden melody, do they normally have the rounded tines on the comb?

That looks awesome! I've recently picked up a golden melody and was pleasantly surprised. Might have to order a comb for it.

That's GREAT! Did you snip off and file the cover support tabs in the back? I was literally about to snip some off of a cover in front of me a(fter I was done eating/surfing the web)! I guess I'll wait to hear how you did it, since yours came out beautiful! Also, what are you now using as cover supports? ----------

Todd,
That's a beautiful harp.
"The covers are from old harps for now, but will be replaced with new ones. (Too bad Hohner now charges $24 for GM covers.)"
Here's a scheme for getting new GM covers for ten bucks: buy a new GM from Rockin Ron for $35, swap the new covers with the old ones on your Meister Melody, and sell the new GM with the old covers for $25.
Just a thought...

@Gig74 - Nope. The tines on stock GM combs are flush.
@Tommy the Hat - It can. :)
@Diggsblues - For $15, why not! They are really shiny.
@Seven.Oh.Three. - I replace all my GM combs.
@Matzen - Not sure how Chris snipped those off. Will have to ask him...
@Calvin - It does!
@BlueDoc - LOL!
And thanks to everyone for the kind comments!
